Product Warranty

Bicycle bearing warranties are somewhat unheard of. In general, no manufacturer offers a warranty for bearings after installation due to variables such as other manufacturer’s frame and component tolerances, improper installation, ignored bearing service intervals, and more…

However, at Enduro Bearings, we offer a range of Limited Warranties on all our bearings, components and tools. Of note, dirt intrusion is not covered under our Limited Warranty. When bearings get gritty, it’s a clear indicator that it’s time to service the bearing.

Limited Lifetime Warranty Products
The following products include a limited lifetime warranty against corrosion, wear and manufacturing defects. All bearings perform best when properly maintained (cleaned and re-greased). Here are Enduro’s recommended service intervals for our premier product lines. Your service intervals vary depending on riding conditions and mileage.

XD15 Ceramic-Hybrid Bearings: While not required to preserve the Limited Lifetime warranty, these bearings should be serviced annually by a professional mechanic to optimize performance. Remember that XD15 bearing service is completely different from any other bearing service because of its unique material. The proper protocol for servicing XD15 bearings:
  • It is recommended to NOT remove the bearing from the bicycle bottom bracket cup or wheel hub. During removal and reinstallation, you can damage or misalign the bearing, voiding the warranty. If you do remove the bearings, do NOT use the Blind Hole Puller BRT-222. Use Linear Press BRT-060 in conjunction with the hub axle to gently push the bearings out.
  • Gently remove the bearing’s outside seal from the exposed side by prying the seal with a small flat blade from the inner edge. Care must be taken to avoid bending the seal.
  • Purge the bearing by pushing fresh Enduro XD15 Speed Grease into the exposed bearing cavity which will displace some of the contaminates and older grease. Don’t worry that older grease or contaminates comingle with the fresh grease.
  • Reinstall the outside seal by pressing on both sides gently but firmly. This will cause extra grease to seep out from the center and sides, which you should wipe off.
  • With the fresh grease now filling the bearing, riding the bike will further purge the remaining contaminates and you’ll be ‘good to go’ for another year of smooth.

Should grit enter the bearing or noise develop prior to annual servicing, pursue one of the following two options:

  • Perform the Annual Service described above.
  • Continue to ride. The grit will be pulverized, further polishing the bearing races; the noise will abate; and the bearing will spin like new again. This demands patience and a few hours of ride time.

Maxhit Stainless Steel Components: Maxhit Bottom Brackets and Headsets must be serviced annually by a professional mechanic (watch the video). Failure to do so will void the warranty. Properly servicing these bearings includes thoroughly cleaning and re-greasing the bearing using the following Enduro greases

Directline Derailleur Pulleys: Enduro Derailleur Pulleys spin XD15 Ceramic-Hybrid Bearings. In addition to keeping your drivetrain clean to maximize performance, Enduro recommends removing the derailleur pulleys bearings and following the annual XD15 Ceramic-Hybrid Bearings service protocols shared above.

Limited Two-Year Warranty Products
The following products include a limited 2-year warranty against wear and manufacturing defects.

Bearing Removal and Installation Tools: Enduro Tools, when properly used should last for years. We recommended wiping the tools clean after each use and on occasional using a light coating Enduro MAX Grease on all threaded areas.

Ceramic and Stainless Steel Hub and Bottom Bracket Bearings: Enduro 440C Stainless Steel bearings and “CH” and “BO” Ceramic-Hybrid bearings perform best when properly maintained.  These bearings must be serviced every 6-months by a professional mechanic (watch the video). Failure to do so will void the warranty. Properly servicing the bearings includes thoroughly cleaning and re-greasing the bearing using the following Enduro greases:

Bottom Bracket Components with 440c Stainless Steel Bearings: Enduro recommends following the 6-month service protocols shared above.
