BKC-0876 - TorqTite, Ceramic-Hybrid, XD15, Angular Contact, Bearing Bottom Bracket for BBRight Framesets and Shimano 24mm Cranksets
Please note:
This bottom bracket may require two tool sizes for proper installation. Due to the inboard bearing position used in BBRight applications, a 52 mm x 16-spline tool is required for the non-drive side, while a 44 mm x 16-spline tool is required for the drive side.
Because of the TorqTite design, we recommend pressing the non-drive side in first, then holding it in place with the appropriate bottom bracket tool while tightening the drive side to the proper torque specification. As a result, installation may require both tool sizes.
You may find the following tools useful for installation and servicing:
For bottom bracket installation:
• BRT-060-MH – Bearing press rod and handle set
• BRT-040 – Bottom bracket and hub bearing removal and installation full toolkit
• BBT-44x16-24 – Pro Cup socket tool for 44mm x 16-spline bottom brackets and Shimano / 24mm spindle cranksets
• BBT-52x16-24 – Pro Cup socket tool for 52mm x 16-spline bottom brackets and Shimano / 24mm spindle cranksets
• BBT-010 – Bottom Bracket Flat Wrench – for 44mm x 16-spline and 52mm x 16-spline
For bottom bracket bearing removal and installation:
• BRT-060-MH – Bearing press rod and handle set
• BRT-040-24MM – Bottom bracket bearing removal and installation toolkit for 24mm bearings; for use with BRT-060 bearing press
• GR-011 – Enduro Speed bearing grease
Enduro Bearings' exclusive ceramic bearings with XD15 nitrogen steel races have been the ultimate longevity and low-friction story in the cycling industry for over 12 years. This extra tough, stainless material will not corrode or rust as most other ceramic hybrids on the market will. While every other ceramic bearing rolls best the day you install it and then declines, XD15 bearings actually improve over time and become smoother.
XD15 bottom bracket bearings have an angular contact design to ensure smooth rolling, full ball contact, and are designed to work with the Pre-Load systems that every crank uses now. They are pressed into precision-machined Torqtite cups, guaranteeing accurate alignment when installed into your press-fit frame. The Torqtite design, an Enduro first, uses an internally threaded mechanical connection to ensure that, after a simple and easy installation, you won’t struggle with creaks and other noises. We are so confident that we offer these bottom brackets with a lifetime warranty, which even covers wear and corrosion (the most common source of eventual failure).
Depending on the Torqtite Spline design and what you have in your shop, you may need one of our Pro Tools for installation.
Please note, the 15º Angular Contact design of these bearings requires a light preload to guarantee the best adjustment.
This is just one of the huge range of solutions that Enduro makes for the wide range of bottom bracket standards on the market today. Enduro offers a solution for just about any configuration at multiple price/performance levels, ranging from standard ABEC-3, up to XD15 Ceramic Hybrid bearings featuring a lifetime guarantee.
